On June 18 weekend activity, devoted to the World Refugee Day, took place in the Central Children Park named after M. Gorky.

In the central scene of the park Belarus, Afghan and Georgian children's ensembles were on the stage. Children fascinated visitors of the park by theirs dances and songs, a large number of spectators gathered near the scene they applauded and supported young artists. Near the stage stood UNHCR booth with materials about the UNHCR projects in Belarus, information booklets on the issue of refugees and asylum seekers, on statelessness and tolerance, as well as information for refugees themselves. Volunteers handed out materials to all the visitors of the park, thereby informed them about such vulnerable category.
