On 26—27 June, 2014 the seminar «Psychological Aspects of Work with Vulnerable Groups of Refugees and Asylum Seekers» was held within the framework of the «Asylum Systems Quality Initiative in Eastern Europe and the Southern Caucasus» project. Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs Department for Citizenship and Migration, UNHCR Representation in Minsk, Belarusian Red Cross Society and Public Association «Belarusian Movement of Medical Workers» were present at the event. Psychologist and trainer of the Belarusian Red Cross Society Tatsiana Levchik conducted the seminar. Special attention was paid to the main principles and approaches in work with vulnerable groups of refugees and asylum seekers as well as with minor asylum seekers, unescorted women, victims of torture.

GENEVA, June 20 (UNHCR) – The UN refugee agency reported today on World Refugee Day that the number of refugees, asylum-seekers and internally displaced people worldwide has, for the first time in the post-World War II era, exceeded 50 million people.
On June 19, 2014 Gala-concert devoted to World Refugee Day took place at the Gymnasium №20 (Minsk, Odintsova street, 89). Organizers of the event were the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office in Belarus and the Centre for Supplementary Instruction «Evrika». During the concert the awarding ceremony of the winners of the contest of children’s art works «Let’s be together» was held, the contest was organized by the UNHCR Office in Belarus together with the Centre for Supplementary Instruction «Evrika».
On June 19, 2014 a press-conference devoted to World Refugee Day was held at the National Press Centre of the Republic of Belarus.
