In anticipation of the World Refugee Day the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Center for Children and Adolescents “Evrika” held a republican contest of children’s works of arts “We live under the one Sun”. The organizing committee received more than 1600 children’s drawings, posters, essays and poems from all regions of the Republic of Belarus. Children reflected their vision of the refugee problem in their works. Through the participation in the contest children have learned about the problems refugees face in their live, and that teaches them to be tolerant, merciful. When students learn the tragic fates of refugees, they begin to estimate the peaceful atmosphere in their native country.
