Grand opening ceremony of the exhibition of children works "World without strangers" took place on June 11, 2009 at 11.00 in the National Museum of History and Culture of the Republic of Belarus (K. Marks str., 12).
In advance of the World Refugee Day (20 June) the UNHCR Office in the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Center for Children and Adolescents «Evrika» have organized a contest of children's works of arts devoted to the World Refugee Day "World without strangers". The organizing committee has received over 1400 drawings, posters, compositions and verses from all the regions of the Republic of Belarus. Pupils show their views of the refugee problem in their works. Thanks to the participation in the contest pupils leant about problems which refugees confront with, that teaches them to be tolerate, tolerant, merciful. Inquire after tragic fates of refugees, they stars to estimate peaceful situation in their homeland.
